clinical significance
The Urine Protein test measures the amount of protein present in urine. Normally, urine contains very little protein (less than 150 mg per day). Elevated levels of proteinuria (increased protein in urine) may indicate kidney damage or disease, such as glomerulonephritis, diabetic nephropathy, or other renal disorders. This test helps in diagnosing and monitoring kidney function and assessing the severity of kidney disease.
